What we do
Individual Counselling
Individual counselling is helpful to clarify your situation and brainstorm strategies to improve your situation.
You can learn how to manage or overcome difficulties you may be experiencing.
Through counselling a person has the opportunity to learn new skills to resolve personal problems and relationship difficulties that present in their social and professional worlds. Progress is possible, when you get outside help.
Couples Counselling
Sometimes it’s difficult to reach out for help in your relationship.
We understand that couples can get into tough spots now and again during certain periods in life. For some couples, the relationship can be hard going and conflictual on an ongoing basis. We identify with the times that COVID19 brought upon us all. Relationship issues surfaced at a compounding rate during the years of the pandemic, yet couples and families learned resilience and persisted through those tough spots.
The good news is counsellors are here for ‘tough spots’. It might be time to seize the opportunity to call for assistance about your relationship.
Did you know that new ‘ways of perceiving’ your partner can be learned in counselling? We can help you interpret the message coming from your partner, when you can’t seem to figure it on your own. This can assist the ‘process of making meaning’ out of the interactional cycle that has developed in the relationship, over the years.
We can help you gain clarity and understanding, while we work in a collaborative way, so you can have hope that things don’t have to stay the same.
Once you begin to make meaning of the ‘interactional cycle’, created unconsciously, you will be in a better position to try the techniques that Lorraine has to offer. Some of these strategies will improve the atmosphere immediately. Things will start to make sense again. Suddenly, your problems will become more manageable.
Counselling may be what’s needed to bring back higher levels of trust and intimacy and light-heartedness in your relationship.
Call us now for a free 15 minute consult to discuss your needs.
